NBSC Strengthens Community Engagement through ISO-Aligned Extension Manual Revision
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), through its Community Extension Services Division (CESD) headed by the Designate Director Mr. Alven L. Gomez, MSEST, successfully conducted the Extension Manual Revision Workshop on July 4–5, 2025, at Dreams Residences, Golftel, San Miguel, Manolo Fortich. The workshop aimed to enhance the College’s extension framework in alignment with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards and the core functions of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in community engagement.
The two-day activity was facilitated by experts from Davao de Oro State College (DdOSC)—Dr. Rona Apolinario, Extension Director, and Mr. Jerson Renegado, Extension Head—who shared comprehensive insights on ISO-aligned processes, quality assurance mechanisms, and results-based community development approaches.
Extension coordinators, project leaders, and program heads of NBSC actively participated in the workshop. Through collaborative discussions and technical sessions, they contributed to refining the manual to ensure it reflects institutional goals, community needs, and globally recognized standards.
The revised extension manual now serves as a strategic tool that streamlines the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of extension programs. It reinforces NBSC’s commitment to quality, accountability, and sustainability in its service to communities.
This milestone marks another step forward in NBSC’s pursuit of a more structured, impactful, and internationally aligned extension program—further cementing its role as a catalyst for grassroots transformation in Northern Bukidnon.
